The California Citrus Harvest was amazing again this year, and the Meyer Lemons? Exceptional! We picked up these beauties at the peak of season from the San Juan Capistrano Farmers' Market for our newest Hot Sauce. With a bright citrusy aroma and orange hue, this Seasonal blend entices the senses. Meyer Lemon has a sweeter, less acidic flavor, so we used the zest as well as the flesh to add depth. Our Reaper harvest in the Fall was epic, and we went heavy with this super hot pepper variety! For complexity, we added Aji Lemon Drops and other Aji varieties from Uncle Davey's Pepper Patch in Fallbrook. The result is a bold lemon forward taste that transitions into a distinctive peppery finish. The Reaper and Aji combination delivers heat from beginning to end. We pushed the capsaicin pedal to the metal with this sauce, and are fired up on the outcome. Like all of our products, there are no gums, sugars, or extracts.
